「ABOUT」

heyo! you can call me becki or min! becki is my real name so if you knew me for a while, you're probably more familiar with this one. but i prefer the name min, and it's the name i primarily use online. i will respond to either one.

i love drawing, writing, playing my guitar + singing along, analyzing media, and shrimp. i also love video games, but i'm very bad at playing them...!

i'm currently in art school with a focus in animation, illustration and sequential art (hopefully). i'd like to work in the art field in the future, but i'm open to many possibilities.

i'm most active on my twitter, however i post on my twitter and tumblr pretty evenly. my instagram is inactive, but it has a lot of my older art.

i have a webtoon that i've worked on from freshman year to senior year of high school. i also have a short manga that i created as the final for a senior year capstone class. please feel free to read either or!

i like to make stupid, funny, cute and soft art. i'm not much of a needlessly angsty artist unless i'm really going through it. a lot of my personal art, however, delves more into serious personal topics - but i don't really post personal art on my social media, so whatever. i rarely, if at all, tag any of my art as vent art.

i make sfw friendly fan art because i have bad history with making darker, angstier works. i have nothing against artists who explore darker subjects in fiction, but i still struggle to fully express myself artistically. "fluff" art has become its own form of simple therapy for me; in drawing cute and harmless art, i feel a little better inside too. i hope to overcome this barrier in the future, but for now my art continues to be relatively light.

★ what are your republishing rules?
i don't allow reposts anywhere. the only time you can "repost" any of my works is if the site allows reposting as a built-in function (ex. tumblr reblogs and twitter retweets). otherwise, NO!!! (so no posting my art on instagram or facebook or wherever!!!)

★ what about using your art?
you can use my non-commission art as an icon, header, etc. as long as you give credit somewhere on your social media profile (preferrably your bio). my social media is @kiisaes.

★ can i translate your work/comics to a different language? can i dub your comics?
yes, but make sure to credit me (again, my social media is @kiisaes).

★ what do you use to draw?
currently i'm fumbling around with clip studio paint! many of my slightly older works are paint tool sai (2) creations. i use a gaomon screen tablet and a macbook pro right now as devices.

★ can i request something?
i only accept requests when i'm asking for them, and i'll only consider them if it's within the time frame of me asking. otherwise, no.

★ are your commissions open?
commissions are currently closed! busy with college work and other miscellaneous stuff, but will be opening commissions sometime again! (with an updated commission sheet + prices) thanks for your understanding :)

★ do you have any art tips?
i'm not good at giving advice, so i'll just say... keep at it!!! art is a difficult craft, but with enough hard work and drive, you can achieve whatever's on your mind!!!

★ what does "kiisaes" mean?
it's a distorted version of "kisae", the name of a character i used to have in eighth grade. (also i found out that people on tumblr call me "kii" sometimes, which is really cute lol)
